Since opening their doors in 1999 Machine has grown to become one of Australia’s oldest and most respected screenprinting companies. Their offer spans screenprinting, embroidery, digital transfers, and a diverse range of custom brand apparel products. Ahead of the company’s 25th year, we were engaged by Machine to reposition the brand, redesign their identity, and define their tone of voice.

Following a series of workshops and brand audits, we developed a comprehensive visual identity informed by the visual and verbal cues found within care label design systems. Centred around a bold, mechanical logomark and supported by service offer iconography, the system serves as a flexible container for messaging across print and motion applications.

A proud and highly knowledgeable tone of voice provides a verbal platform that celebrates the company’s rich history alongside its sophisticated technical ability, investment in communities, and passion for print.

Paired with a vibrant palette and modern, technical typography, the result is a bold and dynamic identity born from a commitment to craft and a passion for printed apparel.
